Private and Day Training

100/hour for you and your dog
75/hour with your dog only

We offer private lessons for you and your dogs. In these one on one lessons you will learn how to train your own dogs so you can take what you learn from the lessons to the real world. Private lessons are best for people who learn most effectively with one on one attention, want to set their own schedule and curriculum, or have dogs with behavior issues.

We also offer day training lessons for your dogs. These lessons can be done in your home or on location around the valley. In these lessons you set the goals, and our trainer teaches your dogs the skills. Once your dogs have achieved progress in the goals you set, we have a knowledge transfer lesson with you and your dogs so you can continue to practice between lessons.

GROUP TRAINING

140/ 4 week class - 4 dog limit

Group classes are offered on a variety of subjects. We have classes for basic manners needed around the house, or for taking your dog out and about in the valley. We offer specialty classes on hiking with your dog, socializing your puppy, therapy dog training, tricks and agility.

Since classes are limited to four dogs they can be customized to meet your individual training goals. Multi-dog handlers are welcomed and a second dog discount will be applied.

We offer a special Friends and Family class for those who want to train their dogs with the four-legged friends they spend the most time with. Do you have friends you want to train with? Our Friends and Family class is for you!

TAKE A HIKE

100/hour for you and your dog
Price Varies with your dog only

One of our specialities is teaching you and your dogs to love the great outdoors! Don't consider yourself the roughing-it type? That's okay! We have a trail option for all experience levels. These lessons and classes apply the basic skills you've already taught your dog on high-distraction mountain trails. Being in the hills with your dog provides a wonderful opportunity to observe your dog’s body language and learn how to “speak dog” better. When you understand and communicate better it builds trust between you both. You will love seeing your dog become reliable off leash, have the impulse control to pass other hikers, dogs, and bikes, as well as leave wildlife alone!

Not the outdoors type but want your dog to learn the ways of the mountains? Your dog can go with our trainer and one or two of her well-trained mountain dogs and experience the joy of the wilds!

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION

250/2 hour inital intake evaluation
100/hour following lessons

When we bring a dog into our family we all hope to have a happy, well adjusted friend, but sometimes dogs have behavior issues. If you have a dog who resource guards, is reactive, fearful or aggressive we can help them regain their confidence and happiness. We provide behavior modification lessons to desensitize and counter condition to the things with which your dog struggles.

PUPPY HEAD START

100/hour

The first sixteen weeks of your dog’s life are critical to their becoming a well adjusted confident adult dog. While we recommend all puppies attend a positive reinforcement puppy class, you can supplement their classroom education with one on one puppy coaching. We offer a puppy 101 lesson for before you bring your puppy home, a first weeks home lesson to help your puppy adjust to life in your new home, and lessons for continuing socialization. We help set up play dates, hiking trips and positive experiences around the valley for you and your puppy. Puppy Head Start is for puppies five months and younger.

Training for Rehabilitation

We hope your dog never experiences an injury, but if that happens we are here with a team of great vets and certified canine rehabilitation therapists to help.

How does training help injured dogs? While healing from an injury some dogs develop learned tendencies to limp, aversions to being handled, or just need help to be calm while they are healing to avoid re-injuring themselves. These are all areas that benefit from training! Our trainer has experience rehabilitating her own dogs after injury. She lives with her own chronically ill dog Magnus, who has benefited greatly from rehab. She uses that experience as well as her network of veterinary professionals to help your dog maintain the best quality of life while having the fastest recovery possible.
